County Schools Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of each member's financial records consistent with state and federal laws. We will take prudent and reasonable measures to safeguard the accuracy and privacy of all member information, including information used while conducting business via the Internet, ATM networks, wire services, telephone, the U.S. Mail, and other means of communication.

County Schools Federal Credit Union's bylaws requires its officers, directors, members of committees, and employees to "hold in confidence all transactions of this credit union with its members and all information respecting their personal affairs." Exceptions may be made only in connection with the making of loans, the collection of loans, and the guaranteeing of member share drafts. Additionally, our bylaws authorize County Schools Federal Credit Union to participate with credit reporting agencies to facilitate making member loans and guaranteeing member share drafts. The information County Schools Federal Credit Union provides to credit reporting agencies is protected by Federal law and the Fair Credit Reporting Act strictly governs its use.

County Schools Federal Credit Union does not collect or maintain information about its members that is not essential for prudent business purposes. We do not sell or otherwise provide member names or other information to third parties for purposes inconsistent with your Credit Union's mission.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
